The face behind HORA (pronounced 'oɾa') is Holly Catherall, an interior and architectural photographer whose career began with a ludicrous scenario involving two broken hands. Yes, you read that right.

Day one of her new job in property photography abruptly ended with Holly sprawled out on the tarmac somewhere in South London. She broke her moped and her hands (and bruised her ego...). This isn't a sad story, just an awful "first day at a new job" story. She healed and got back on the horse (moped).

Cutting her teeth in the wildly fast-paced London property market gave her a crash course in capturing beautiful images of interiors and beyond.

Holly's photography style captures spaces in their purest form, illuminated by the soft and nuanced glow of natural light. She prioritizes true-to-colour representation, emphasizing the genuine atmosphere and textures of each room. By harnessing ambient daylight (or dusklight), with a pop of flash where needed she highlights architectural features while maintaining a commitment to realism, resulting in images that invite viewers into spaces as they truly are.

Simply fill in the form on the CONTACT page with as much detail about the shoot as possible. I will be in touch to book in the appointment.
  • What are your rates?
Rates vary depending on your unique project requirements (including type of photography required, shoot time, number of images, and purpose of images). Get in touch to chat about your vision and we can provide a tailored quote!
  • What are your working hours?
Due to lighting conditions, day shoot working hours vary depending on the time of year. During the winter months (November-March), appointments can be made between 9am - 2pm. During the summer months (April-October), appointments can be made between 9am - 5pm. Dusk shoots are available upon request and times will vary depending on time of year.
  • How long will a shoot take?
Half day and full day shoots are available. We can discuss your requirements ahead of time and create a bespoke package to suit your project. Short shorts, such as those for residential sales, range from 30-90 minutes.
  • How can I help prepare my/my clients home for a shoot?
There are a number of things that would help the shoot go smoothly on the day. Declutter as much as possible. Hide personal items in cupboards, wardrobes, garages etc. Kitchens and bathrooms should be free of fabric such as towels, bathmats, tea towels, dish cloths, dirty clothes, etc. Remove anything associated with bodily functions - loo roll, toothbrushes, hair brushes, toilet brush, bins etc.! Remove all plastic bottles and branded products, such as cleaning supplies, toothpaste, hand soap, food items, etc. Open all blinds fully (*if one doesn't open fully, keep them all down but open for consistency). TV off, cupboards closed, wires tucked away. Make your bed. Straighten cushions & blankets and iron bed sheets! Keep gardens/yards free of any clutter if possible. This includes the front - bins out of sight and cars off the driveway. Your photographer will be eternally grateful!
